Welcome to the dedicated consultation website for Arpenteur’s proposal regeneration of the Former Market Hall, The Brook, Chatham, ME4 4NZ.

Here you will find our proposals to deliver around 355 new homes of exemplary design, alongside ground floor commercial space to reactivate this important corner of the high street, while delivering new public amenity space and reopening the existing multi-storey car park for the benefit of existing and future residents.

The delivery of a site identified as suitable for regeneration

New commercial space to reinvigorate this part of the high street

New employment opportunities throughout construction and future commercial premises, significantly contributing to the local economy

Reinstating a multi-storey car park in the heart of Chatham town centre for the benefit of the whole community

Sustainability measures including solar panels and green roofs

Extensive landscaping and new public open and amenity spaces on site for existing and future residents to enjoy

The creation of new wildlife habitats to encourage biodiversity on-site through the provision of green roofs and other planting

Safe and engaging places to play to encourage outside activity for local children

Significant investment and expenditure in the local area during construction and following completion
